Bee Vet Animal Hospital Helps a True Princess

Bee Vet Animal Hospital recently partnered with Austin Pets Alive! to provide one charity surgery every other month to a worthy rescue animal. Last month, the first participant was an 11.5 year old poodle mix named Princess. Princess was admitted to APA in a very poor condition. Once her matted fur and flea infestation was taken care of, it became apparent that she would need one of her eyes removed due to a mass on her eyelid. APA selected Princess as the first charity surgery recipient because even with a life filled with hardship, she still had a great, friendly personality. Bee Vet Animal Hospital had Mobile Veterinary Service's Dr. Kelly Might come in to perform the surgery on Princess. Once the eye was removed, Princess made a full recovery. She was adopted almost immediately into her forever home, putting a priceless value on a complicated procedure. Princess also walked away with an established relationship with her new veterinarian and our hospital. Bee Vet Animal Hospital plans to provide one charitable surgery each month and will alternate between Austin Pets Alive! and the Austin Humane Society.
